Labtician is excited to introduce KAMRA Vision to the Canadian Ophthalmic Market

Product Name: KAMRA Vision™

Device Description: An intra-corneal inlay for treatment of presbyopia.

Indications for Use: To improve functional near vision and reduce dependency on reading glasses.

Mechanism of Action: The opening in the centre of the inlay restores near and intermediate vision by focusing light coming into the eye.

Targeted Disease State: Presbyopia

Targeted Launch Date: Jan-15

Manufacturing Company: AcuFocus, Inc.

Additional Comments: The KAMRA inlay is an intra-corneal inlay designed to create a small aperture effect, allowing the eye to see near and intermediate objects more clearly while maintaining distance vision. By applying the depth-of-focus principle commonly used in photography, the KAMRA inlay controls light transmission, allowing only central rays to reach the retina through a fixed 1.6mm aperture.
